Important Facts About Room 115, Mr. King
Parents, please post at home the following helpful things to know about our class.
Number of students in class: 28 as of September 9th.
Third Grade Team Teaching Arrangements: Mr. King teaches Science, Math will be taught by Mr. Flack, and Mr. Jones is Michigan History/Social Studies.
Mr. King (each teacher) teaches Spelling, Writing and Reading to his own class. Students will be given two sets of the weekly spelling words at the start of each marking period. One set will be for students’ classroom spelling folder. The other is for home study. Daily quiz your child on the spelling words for the week. We start learning Week 1 Spelling words September 14th.
Supplies: The most important thing for students to have is a steady/through the year supply of 100% wood pencils. It is best if they are sharpened at home then brought to school. Mechanical pencils are great if students are taught how to use them properly. Students can go through 10 pencils, or leads, monthly. Having a pencil case with student’s name on it keeps the loss of pencils down. Donating a pack or two of wide ruled lined writing paper to our class is most helpful. Other school supplies your child might like include colored markers, scissors, glue sticks, etc., but are not essential. I have these items in our classroom for times we need them.
Boxes of tissues for the class are much need! Thanks to those who sent boxes in!
